Ep 2: Journey with Cancer
Qatar in Quotes' second guest is Shahryar Rana, a student at Weill Cornell Medicine in Qatar. Rana shares with us his touching story of having and recovering from cancer in high school. While painful, he also demonstrates how “battling” and “surviving” cancer is not what it is made out to be; a lot of the time recovery doesn't mean fighting off diseases in a militaristic sense, but rather watching TV and just waiting. His story is one of hope. Now a medical student, Rana hopes to become a pediatric oncologist and treat similar cases.
